This Cookie Policy describes how cookies and similar local storage technologies are used on platonovlab.com (the «Site»). This document supplements the Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) by your browser when visiting websites. They are used to remember your preferences, ensure proper operation of websites and collect anonymised statistics.

In addition to classic cookies, websites may use the browser’s local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB), which works on a similar principle but is not automatically sent to the server with every request.

2. Categories of cookies used on the Site

2.1. Essential (always enabled)

This data is stored locally in the browser and is required for the basic operation of the Site. It is not sent to the server and is not used for tracking. No User consent is required.

theme (localStorage) — selected theme (light or dark). Stored indefinitely, can be removed via browser settings.
cookie-consent (localStorage) — User’s choice from the cookie banner. Values: accepted or rejected. Stored indefinitely until withdrawn.
kitchen-session (IndexedDB / localStorage) — data of the «kitchen mode»: pinned recipes, step progress, active timers. Used only locally on your device and required for the working sheet to function on iPad/tablet offline.
Service Worker cache — cache of the Site’s static assets for offline access to previously opened pages and recipes.

2.2. Analytics (optional)

These cookies are set by the Yandex Metrica web analytics service and are used to analyse Site traffic in anonymised form. Set only after the User’s consent is obtained via the cookie banner.

_ym_uid — unique visitor identifier. Retention: up to 1 year.
_ym_d — date of first visit to the Site. Retention: up to 1 year.
_ym_isad — detection of ad blockers. Retention: 2 days.
_ym_visorc — session identifier for recording User actions (Webvisor). Retention: 30 minutes.
yabs-sid — service session identifier. Retention: until the end of the browser session.

2.3. Advertising / marketing

The Site does not use advertising cookies, does not display ads and does not share data with advertising networks.

3. Managing consent

On the first visit to the Site, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen with two buttons:

«Accept» — allows the installation of analytics cookies and the loading of the Yandex Metrica script;
«Essential only» — disables analytics cookies, leaves only the technical data listed in section 2.1.

The choice is saved in the browser’s local storage and applied across all pages of the Site. The banner is not shown again until the consent is withdrawn.

4. How to withdraw consent

Consent can be withdrawn in any of the following ways:

Clear the Site’s local storage via browser settings — after that the banner will appear again on the next visit and a new choice can be made.
Block cookies for the domain platonovlab.com and related domains (yandex.ru, mc.yandex.ru) in your browser settings.
Use the official Yandex Metrica opt-out tool: yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html .

Please note: if cookies are completely disabled, some features of the Site may not work correctly (for example, the chosen theme will not be saved, and the kitchen mode will not remember pinned recipes).

6. Changes to this Cookie Policy

The Operator reserves the right to make changes to this Cookie Policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document. In case of substantial changes requiring renewed User consent, the cookie banner will be shown again.
